Smolna: Gioli & Assia

Giolì & Assia are an Italian duo of producers, multi-instrumentalists, singers, songwriters and DJs, known for their distinctive blend of techno, house, indie and pop. Giolì plays piano, cello, drums, guitar and handpan, while Assia leads the vocals and plays guitar.

Their creative partnership began in 2016, the same year they founded their own label, Diesis Records. After debuting with “Stay Closer” in 2017, they released their first album, Istantanee, in 2018, followed by the Spinnin’ Records single “Something Special” and their first Ibiza residency at Privilege. Later that year, they released their second album, Night Experience, further developing their signature melodic techno sound.

In 2019, Giolì & Assia launched #DiesisLive, a live performance series combining electronic music with live instrumentation and vocals. Filmed in spectacular locations including Sicily, a volcano in the Aeolian Islands and Isola Delle Femmine, the series attracted millions of views and helped bring the duo to an international audience.
